A Lomira man was sentenced Wednesday to 30 years in prison after he was convicted of first-degree sexual assault, according to a news release from the Dodge County district attorney.
William Bonney, 55, forced sexual intercourse with a woman in 2014 and impregnated the woman to become pregnant. Bonney admitted he had had sex with the woman since she was a teenager, the release said.
Bonney will spend 20 years of his sentence behind bars, followed by 10 years of extended supervision, the release said.
Dodge County Assistant District Attorney Jim Sempf, who argued the case, pushed for a strong sentence, saying in the release: "This is a man that has committed a heinous crime on a vulnerable victim. He deserves to be punished to the fullest extent of the law."
