A rural Lodi woman has been crowned the next "Alice in Dairyland."
Rochelle Elizabeth Ripp, 25, was awarded the title on Saturday night. She will spend the next year promoting the state's agriculture industry.
Ripp is a 2009 graduate of University of Wisconsin-Platteville and has an agribusiness degree in communications.
The Fort Atkinson Daily Jefferson County Union reported that Ripp will begin her $40,000 state-paid ambassador position on June 4.
Ripp is currently an associate marketing executive at Filament Marketing in Madison. She said she's looking forward to representing the state's $59 billion agriculture industry.
