BROOKFIELD, Wis. -

A Wisconsin man accused of killing three people and wounding four others at the salon where his wife worked allegedly slashed the woman's tires earlier in the month.

Brookfield police said 45-year-old Radcliffe Franklin Haughton damaged his wife's tires on Oct. 4. She sought court protection four days later, and a judge granted a four-year restraining order on Thursday.

Authorities said Haughton took a cab to his wife's workplace Sunday morning and opened fire. He later killed himself. Police declined to speculate on a motive during an evening news conference.

All seven victims were women, and the four survivors were between the ages of 22 and 40. Police haven't said whether the wife was among the victims.
