Gun pulled on Beltline motorist during road rage incident
Police: Victim slammed on brakes to avoid collision
A motorist pulled a gun on a Middleton man as he drove on Beltline Highway Wednesday morning, according to Madison police.
The 48-year-old victim he was eastbound on the highway near Whitney Way when a driver behind him became angry after the victim slowed down because traffic ahead of him had slowed.
The man tailgated the victim before quickly pulling alongside the victim and displaying a weapon, according to police.
The victim said the man then pulled in front of him and slammed on his brakes forcing the victim to slam on his brakes to avoid a collision.
The victim told police he then slowed down to allow the angry driver to pull away.
The man is described as white, 40 to 50 years old with an average build and driving a red two-door hatchback that could be a Ford Fiesta.
