MADISON, Wis. -

An ongoing dispute between two rival gang members resulted in three arrests at La Follette High School in Madison, according to police.

An officer reported seeing ten to 15 teens in the street during a conflict outside the school at 702 Pflaum Rd. Wednesday afternoon. One participant reported to police that he was punched, but police said there was no sign of injury.

Police said after the incident they found one student had an 11-inch knife in his backpack and another student, who attends an alternative school, had a folding knife in his pocket.

One of the 17-year olds, Ja'mohn D. Barney, of Madison, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a weapon on school grounds, disorderly conduct and trespassing.

Another 17-year-old, Ramar A. Brown, of Madison, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a weapon on school grounds and disorderly conduct.

A third student, age 16, was taken to the Juvenile Reception Center on suspicion of disorderly conduct and trespassing.
