Former Olympic hockey team players attend Madison Parks event
Moonlight movie series kicks off
Madison Parks celebrated some living legends on the ice Wednesday night.
The moonlight movie series kicked off at Tenney Park featuring an outside movie and ice skating for the whole family. Madison Parks screened "Miracle," a film based on the true story of a U.S. Olympic hockey team.
Two members of the original team came out to skate and reminisce about the game, more than 30 years later.
"Kids are always talking about it and asking about it and stuff, so it doesn't seem like 33 years ago," said Bob Suter, a former U.S. Olympic hockey player.
Madison Parks hosted the event in honor of its 10th anniversary. Event planners said more than 100 people showed up to participate in the moonlight movie series.
