Fire destroys storage building, closes road
No one was injured
A fire destroyed a storage building in the town of Windsor and temporarily closed a road to traffic Sunday.
Dane County sheriff's deputies, along with fire departments from DeForest and Sun Prairie, responded at about 1 p.m. to a storage building fire at 3230 Happy Valley Rd.
The property owner was not at home and no one was injured in the blaze, sheriff's officials said.
Officials said the 60-by-20 foot out building, along with its contents, is a total loss. The building contained miscellaneous tools, two vehicles and harvested tobacco.
The residential single-family home on the property was not affected by the fire.
Happy Valley Road was closed to traffic from approximately 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
The cause of the fire has not been determined but was possibly electrical in nature, according to a Dane County Sheriff's Office news release.
