One firefighter was slightly injured battling a blaze at a home early Friday morning in the Town of Beloit.
The Town of Beloit Fire Department responded to a call just after midnight. The house is in the 3200 block of South Prairie Avenue.
When fire crews arrived at the scene, they saw the home fully engulfed in fire and smoke. Firefighters made two sweeps of the house and found no one inside.
Fire officials said the structure's whole roof collapsed and the home is considered a total loss.
One firefighter suffered dehydration while battling the blaze and was treated at the scene.
Damage is estimated at $50,000, officials said.
