Editorial: WISC-TV helps to recognize area philanthropists

The point of this item on our editorial agenda for the year is to recognize the many people and organizations in our community who care, and give and want to contribute more.

Our board intends to identify and honor those folks a couple of times a month, but right now you have a unique opportunity to do the same.

Here's how. The Greater Madison Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, in anticipation of the 25th annual National Philanthropy Day in November, is soliciting nominations for individuals, corporations, small businesses and organizations who "have given generously of their time, talent and/or resources to make the Greater Madison Community a better place for all of us to live."
