MADISON, Wis. -

A Platteville man was arrested Wednesday after deputies found methamphetamine and prescription drugs during a traffic stop, according to a release from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy spotted a truck about 11:15 p.m. traveling south on State Highway 80, approaching Cuba City, going 72 mph in a 55 mph zone. The truck was stopped and the deputy said drug-related items were spotted inside, resulting in a search of the truck.

In addition to the drugs, deputies said they also found meth-related drug paraphernalia, marijuana drug paraphernalia, cash and drug packaging materials.

The driver, Luke Curran, 39, was arrested on suspicion of possession of meth with intent to deliver, possession of prescription drugs with intent to deliver, possession of meth-related drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana-related drug paraphernalia.
