State wildlife officials are planning an open house on plans to kill gypsy moth caterpillars in Governor Dodge State Park this spring.
The Department of Natural Resources plans to spray the caterpillars with an insecticide from a low-flying airplane sometime between mid-May and early June. The spraying will encompass 230 acres, including beach and picnic areas.
The DNR will hold an open house meeting to share information on the plan at the agency's Dodgeville service center on Thursday morning.
