DA: Sun Prairie man set fire, fled without checking on father
Man was charged on Tuesday
A Sun Prairie man is charged with a felony for fleeing the house of his ill father after setting a basement fire and not checking on his welfare.
James Buskov is accused of setting a fire May 8 as part of a sexual habit and then leaving but then returning and leaving again without checking on his sleeping 83-year-old father.
The 47-year-old son was charged Tuesday with first-degree reckless endangerment as well as two misdemeanors.
His father, Richard Buskov, woke up and called 911 and firefighters put out the small fire.
The Wisconsin State Journal reports a signature bond was set for Buskov, but his wife can rescind it and send him back to jail on cash bail if he doesn't get help for mental health issues.
