MILTON, Wis. -

Rock County community leaders are working to fight against bullying.

Police reports say bullying has decreased at Milton’s intermediate school.

Students at all of the city’s schools have been encouraged to wear orange to show support for the local anti-bullying effort.

Leaders are also selling backpacks to promote their cause.

“By continuing to go into the schools and continuing to have the orange products out there, we’re in a subtle way keeping the message out there,” Milton Police Lt. John Conger said.

According to Conger, the proceeds will fund anti-bullying initiatives, including the “Lunch with a Cop” program.

The bags are available at the police department, city hall and library.
