Burglars take copper from vacant homes

Police asking homeowners to secure properties

MILTON, Wis. -

Police in Milton are investigating two burglary cases where copper was taken from vacant homes.

The burglaries occurred between Saturday and Sunday at a home on West Elizabeth Street and another home in the 900 block of Hilltop Drive, according to police.

Police are asking the owners of vacant homes, real estate agents and neighbors near vacant homes to make sure properties are secured and suspicious activities are reported.
