Authorities are on the hunt for a pesky crook who they said robbed an Oregon restaurant this week with a can of insect repellent.
Sgt. Aaron Dunbar of the Roseburg Police Department said a man wearing a blonde wig entered Elmer's restaurant at about midnight, walked to a register near the bar and sprayed the repellent into an employee's face, KPIC-TV reported.
Dunbar told the TV station that the culprit then reached into the register drawer and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
"This is an extremely unusual case," he said. "We've had robberies in the past, but the idea of using bug spray as a weapon is a first."
There's no word on any arrests in the case, or if the employee suffered any reactions to the DEET attack.
