MADISON, Wis. -

A 22-year-old bicyclist suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being hit by a pickup truck on Madison’s west side Wednesday morning, police said.

The bicyclist was heading east on Mineral Point Road just before 9 a.m. when the driver of the truck, which was going south on South Midvale Boulevard, ran a red light and collided with the biker, according to the release.

The driver of the truck, a 36-year-old man, was cited for a red signal violation.
