Beloit man arrested on possession of child porn charges

A child pornography investigation has resulted in the arrest of a Beloit man, according to the Wisconsin Department of Justice.

Investigators said a search warrant was executed Nov. 14 at the home Tom Phongsa, 48, at 2007 Grandview Dr.

The criminal complaint states that a forensic review of a hard drive retrieved during the search found files consistent with child pornography.

Investigators said during the execution of the search warrant, Phongsa stated, “I didn’t think it’d be a big deal., (it’s) just a picture and a movie.”

Phongsa was arrested on suspicion of four counts of possession of child pornography.

Phongsa is scheduled to appear in Rock County court Wednesday.
