A domestic dispute in Green County Tuesday night has landed a Belleville man behind bars on numerous charges, according to the Green County Sheriff's Department.

Sheriff's officials said deputies were called to a home on Doyle Road in the Town of Exeter just before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

When they arrived, deputies arrested Justin Hartwig, 27, of Belleville on numerous charges, including battery, disorderly conduct and attempted strangulation, according to the Sheriff's Department.

Hartwig remains in the Green County Jail while he awaits a court hearing.
