BEAVER DAM, Wis. -

Beaver Dam police said they are searching for a man who robbed a bank at gunpoint Saturday.

Police said they responded at about 12:40 p.m. to a report of an armed bank robbery at Associated Bank, 201 Park Ave.

Police said the robber produced what was described as a small black handgun and a plastic grocery bag and ordered the clerk to produce money. The robber fled on foot, heading south from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, according to a Beaver Dam Police Department news release.

Police have released surveillance photographs of the robber.

The robber is described as a white man standing approximately 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds. He appeared to be unshaven with a stubble beard, and he was wearing a dark-colored jacket or fleece, police said. The fleece has two horse designs on the front and one on the back with numerous horseshoes surrounding them. The man was also wearing blue jeans and black tennis shoes, police said.
