MADISON, Wis. -

Madison police have arrested a man in connection with the death of a 54-year-old man at his east side home.

According to Madison Police, David A. Tingdom, 62, of Madison, was arrested Friday on a tentative charge of second-degree reckless homicide.

Tingdom was a roommate of the victim, Bruce G. Engendorf, and police said that he and the Engendorf had a physical altercation in the driveway of their home on Wednesday morning.

According to police, the Engendorf fell and hit his head during the altercation and a short time later the victim went to bed to sleep.

Police said the Engendorf’s body was found in his bed at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday.

It was inside a garage at his home in the 4000 block of Maher Avenue.

The Dane County Medical Examiner has listed Engendorf's cause of death as blunt force trauma to the head.
