The Mexican cartel fugitive was the pretty one. In fact, that was her alias in Mexico, "La Bonita." But this week she is back in Mexico in custody following her capture by U.S. authorities in Los Angeles for immigration violations last week. Anel Violeta Noriega Rios, 27, was the target of a 5-million peso (or about $375,000) reward issued by Mexican authorities and is charged in a 64-page criminal warrant in Mexico for alleged drug trafficking. She is alleged member of La Familia Michoacana cartel and was one of its U.S.-based operatives, authorities charge.

The executive secretary of Mexico's Federal Election Institute said Wednesday that 54.5% of the ballot boxes from last weekend's presidential election -- that is 78,012 -- will be opened and the individual ballots inside will be recounted. That represents 78,012 ballot boxes, Edmundo Jacobo Molina told reporters.
