MADISON, Wis. -- A Dane County supervisor and Madison bar owner said he plans to appeal his conviction for violating the city's smoking ban.On Friday, smoking ban critic Dave Wiganowsky, owner of Wiggie's Tavern, was found guilty on two counts of violating Madison's smoking ban.He got the citations in December, one month after health inspectors said they saw two people smoking in his bar.Wiganowsky said he expected the verdict but will fight it."I want a jury trial because they didn't ticket the smoker, they didn't ticket the bartender, but they ticketed the bar. So obviously the city is the concerned with the deepest pocket," Wiganowsky said. The judge won't issue any fines until March, WISC-TV reported.Until then, Wiggie's will be under close scrutiny for more violations.
