Woman Dies After Being Thrown From Motorcycle

Driver Suffered Only Minor Injuries

A Grant County woman is dead after being thrown from a motorcycle early Sunday morning.

Laura Tennessen, 20, of Cassville, was a passenger on the motorcycle, WISC-TV reported.

The accident happened around 3 a.m. on Sunday on Highway 133 and East Amelia Street in Cassville.

Thomas Sweet, 20, of Lancaster, apparently lost control of the motorcycle while driving. Sweet suffered minor injuries in the crash, police said.

Deputies said that neither person was wearing a helmet and that speed and alcohol were factors.
