SPRINGDALE, Wis. -- Dane County authorities are looking for more information on an overnight hit-and-run.

A man's body was discovered on Dairy Ridge Road near County Highway J in the town of Springdale around 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

Authorities cordoned off the ditch where the body was found while they conducted their investigation.

Deputies believe a vehicle hit the man sometime after midnight.

His name is being withheld until family has been notified.

They believe the suspect's vehicle is a dark colored, charcoal grey, possibly General Motors vehicle. The vehicle would have damage to the front passenger side and hood.
