Agency Says It Will Investigate Nurse In Connection With St. Mary's Death
16 Year Old Died At St. Mary's Hospital Last Week

MADISON, Wis. -- The state agency that licenses registered nurses said it will investigate the potential involvement of an RN in the death of a 16-year-old girl at St. Mary's Hospital.As WISC-TV first reported, Jasmine Gant died while giving birth last week at St. Mary's Hospital.Alice Howard, Gant's family chaplain, said that family members told her that the teen died after allegedly being given the wrong drug.The hospital put one staff person on administrative leave as state and county investigations continue.Regulation and licensing officials said they will review the death to see if a formal investigation on a St. Mary's nurse is warranted.
