MADISON, Wis. -- University of Wisconsin-Madison Chancellor John Wiley is moving out of his official home to make way for some major renovations. One million dollars from private funds, including donations from some ex-chancellors, will be invested in Olin House over the next two years. An advisory committee decided that much of the house needed fixing, including corroded pipes, poor hearting and cooling and wheelchair accessibility."After we move out, we won't be moving back, and I don't want the next chancellor, whoever that is, to have on their plate as the first thing they have to do renovating the house," said Wiley.Among the intended changes are Internet access, a new kitchen and an elevator, WISC-TV reported. In addition to housing the chancellor, Olin House is used for many public events each year -- some with more than 4,000 guests.
