Closing Arguments Set For Monday In Travel Contract Case

MADISON, Wis. -- Closing arguments are scheduled to start Monday in the federal trial of a state employee charged with fraud.Georgia Thompson is accused of steering a state travel contract to the Adelman Travel Group. Its executives contributed to Gov. Jim Doyle's re-election campaign.On the witness stand Thursday, Thompson cited specific reasons why she went with Adelman Travel.But in a videotape shown in court Thursday, she said she could not recall why she pushed for Adelman to win the deal.
