Shawn Brooks, pictured right, is charged with the murder of Julienne McGuire.

During the hearings, investigators tried to show that there's enough evidence to try Brooks. Police said that DNA evidence links Brooks to the March 27 slaying. They said that DNA under McGuire's nails matched with samples taken from Brooks, WISC-TV reported.

Prosecutors also introduced four witnesses in the case. They include two police officers, a forensic scientist from the state crime lab and the co-worker who found McGuire's body inside the Edward Jones office.

Co-worker Bryan Theis told the court about how he found McGuire's body.

"And I opened the door more and that's when I saw her full body," Theis said. "I saw her head face down and I saw blood coming out of the right side of her mouth."

After discovering her, Theis said that he called 911, WISC-TV reported.

Three witnesses couldn't make the hearing so it is expected to continue on June 9.
