Reward Increases In Beloit Slaying

Woman Found Dead In Beloit Office

Updated: 3:36 pm CDT April 17, 2006

The company that employed a Janesville woman found dead in the downtown Beloit office is adding to the reward money to help find her killer.

Edward Jones Investments employed Julienne McGuire, 44, and the company is adding $25,000 in reward money for any information that leads to an arrest and conviction in her death, WISC-TV reported.

McGuire was found dead at the office last month.

Police have released sketches that might show a person or persons of interest in the case. Investigators said that they don't know if the sketches represent two people or one who could be a combination of the two sketches.

McGuire was found dead after she opened the office at about 8 a.m. A co-worker found her dead around 9:30 a.m., WISC-TV reported.

The killing is the city's second of the year.

Anyone with information about McGuire's death is asked to call Beloit police at (608) 364-6800 or Beloit Crimestoppers at (608) 362-7363 (CRIME).
