Prayer Service To Mark Anniversary Of St. Raphael's Fire
Arson Suspect Held In Mental Institution

MADISON, Wis. -- A prayer service will be held in front of St. Raphael's Cathedral on Tuesday afternoon to mark the one-year anniversary of the fire that destroyed the church.St. Raphael Cathedral in downtown was Madison's oldest Catholic church before it was gutted in an early morning blaze on March 14, 2005. The church was about 150 years old, WISC-TV reported.The man accused of starting the fire, William Connell, was found incompetent to stand trial by a Dane County judge and was sent to a mental institution, WISC-TV reported.No decision has been made yet about the future of the church.The prayer service will be held at 4 p.m.Stay tuned to WISC-TV and Channel 3000 for continuing coverage.
