Hundreds Of Wisconsites Attend Inauguration

Hundreds from Wisconsin are in Washington for the presidential inauguration, including Bush backers, busloads of protesters, college student volunteers and the Menasha high school band.
Besides today's oath, there are brunches, cocktail parties, candlelight dinners, the inaugural balls and post-ball parties.State Republican Party chairman Rick Graber says about 300 people from the state party are in Washington. President Bush told Wisconsin Republican national committeewoman Mary Buestrin she did a good job on the election, despite John Kerry winning the state by more than eleven-thousand votes.Some of the Bush backers in Washington include fundraiser Jon Hammes, Oneida chairwoman Tina Danforth and state Veterans Affairs former chief Raymond Boland.Local activists are planning their own anti-inauguration event here.There is a counter-inauguration rally planned in Reedsburg at 5 p.m. at the center of the downtown business district.Organizers ask participants to bring signs and noisemakers and say they want to show the world they are not satisfied with the Bush Administration's policies.For more information or to print out signs, go to SaveWisconsin.orgRelated Story: JibJab Cartoonists Back At It For Bush's 2nd Term
