WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. -

An SUV carrying two adults and two children from Tomah crashed into a guardrail and a tractor-trailer Thursday, injuring all four.

The Wisconsin State Patrol was called to the westbound lanes of Interstate 90 at mile marker 85.5 in Juneau County near Wisconsin Dells at 11:35 p.m. for a report of a crash.

Investigators said the SUV, driven by Thomas M. Peterson, 35, was traveling in the right lane when it crossed both lanes of traffic, hit the median guardrail, spun around, crossed back over both lanes of traffic and struck the tractor-trailer.

Peterson was taken to Hess Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. A 35-year-old woman and two boys, ages 5 and 7, also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, a 50-year-old man from Hammond, Ind., was uninjured.

The Wisconsin Dells Ambulance, Wisconsin Dells Police Department, and Wisconsin Dells Fire Department assisted at the scene.
