Police are warning women to be careful after two women are victims of stranger attacks Wednesday.

A man attacked a woman at her front door on Jennifer Street about 9 a.m. and demanded money before fleeing.

Police said the man's description is similar to a sexual assault earlier Wednesday on North Randall Street. A college-age woman was attacked in the basement of her apartment building around 6 a.m., police said. She was preparing to leave for work at the time.

Police stress these are "stranger assaults."

Police describe the attacker in the Randall Street attack at a 5-foot-10-inch African American with a "chunky" build. He was reportedly wearing a blue pullover type sweatshirt with a zipper and jeans and had no facial hair.
