Seiler Wants To Cut Deal For Alleged Abduction Hoax
Complaint: 'I'm Finally Telling The Truth. It Feels So Good'

MADISON, Wis. -- Audrey Seiler's lawyer appeared on her behalf today in Dane County Court and said his client will try to reach a plea and avoid trial for allegedly staging her own disappearance.Seiler is free on a signature bond and is reportedly home with her parents in Rockford, Minn.
Defense attorney Randy Hopper (pictured, right), of the Twin Cities, said he'll meet with District Attorney Brian Blanchard to discuss a deal, but he wouldn't elaborate what kind of agreement he wants.Blanchard charged Seiler Wednesday with two misdemeanor counts for allegedly obstructing an officer.
Read Complaint pdf )Each charge carries a jail sentence of up to nine months and a maximum fine of $10,000.Seiler, 20, a University of Wisconsin sophomore, was missing for four days and ended up walking out of a marsh on the south side of Madison, telling police that an armed man had been holding her hostage. The city of Madison spent nearly $100,000 investigating her claims.Seiler admitted to police that she had lied to them and others several times, according to the complaint."I'm so stupid. I'm sorry for all this," the complaint quotes Seiler as saying. "I'm finally telling the truth. It feels so good."Feb. 1 Incident: Seiler Reports Being Knocked In HeadThe criminal complaint includes information about a prior claim Seiler made on Feb. 1 about being hit in the head by an unknown assailant. According to the criminal complaint: That night, she had been at a party. Her boyfriend, Ryan Fischer, was also at the party and a witness said he seemed perturbed that Seiler was there. The couple had a fight and left separately. Seiler later called a friend from high school and said she had been hit and was in some garbage cans.March 27: Seiler Goes MissingSeiler was reported missing Saturday, March 27, after she missed a meeting with friends. The door to her apartment was left unlocked with her purse, wallet and cell phone still in there. According to the criminal complaint:Her roommate told police Seiler had been confused about her relationship with Fischer and that Fisher didn't pay as much attention to Seiler as Seiler wanted. Fischer told police he last heard from Seiler via cell voicemail message at 3:30 p.m. Friday., saying she loved him and he should call her. He didn't return her call. Fischer told police Seiler "does not go 12 hours without calling my cell phone," and when asked what he thought had happened to Seiler, Fisher said, "Somebody took her somewhere. She never leaves the door unlocked."Police took Seiler's computer and cell phone during the investigation to find her and found that someone used Seiler's computer to hack into Fischer's e-mail account and read romantic e-mails between Fischer and another person, according to the complaint. The complaint also said:March 24: Someone used Seiler's computer to Google "Madison Parks" and "Madison wooded areas." The computer was also used to look up the five-day forecast.The complaint also details information about Seiler's journal. The last entry before she disappeared talked about Fischer's romantic involvement with another person. "I love him with all my heart, but I know he needs to love me back," the complaint says the journal reads. "I won't be well for awhile -- I know that. I've got to go, maybe to pray.
