TOWN OF NEW GLARUS, Wis. -

Three teenagers were injured in a drunken-driving crash in Green County Saturday night, according to the Green County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to County Road W east of Elmer Road in the town of New Glarus at 11 p.m. for a report of a single-vehicle crash.

Investigators said the vehicle driven by Amber Ace, 17, of rural New Glarus was eastbound on County Road W when she lost control while negotiating a curve. Ace over-corrected causing the vehicle to skid into a ditch, go airborne over a culvert, collide with an embankment and overturn. The vehicle crashed through a fence and landed on its wheels, according to deputies.

Ace was taken to University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, along with passengers Larissa L. Aunet, 17, and Iliana E. Samaniego, 17, both of Belleville.

Samaniego was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, according to deputies. She was flown to UW Hospital.

Ace was arrested on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing injury and was cited for failure to maintain control. Aunet and Samaniego were cited on suspicion of underage alcohol consumption. Samaniego was also cited on suspicion of possession of marijuana.
