TOWN OF CLARNO, Wis. -

Three people were taken to the hospital Thursday morning after two vehicles collided as one tried to pass the other.

Green County sheriff’s deputies were called to the N1900 block of State Highway 69 in the town of Clarno at 4:36 a.m. for a report of a two-vehicle crash.

Investigators said Tanginique L. Haynes, 24, of Freeport, Ill., was driving north on Highway 69 and attempted to pass a vehicle driven by Heather L. Ramos, 22, of Freeport, Ill. They said Haynes lost control on the snow and ice -covered road and collided with the other vehicle.

Ramos and two passengers, Tony L. Gordon, 33, and Samantha L. Dzialowy, 26, both of Freeport, Ill., were taken to Monroe Clinic Hospital. All were wearing seat belts.

Haynes was cited on suspicion of failure to have a vehicle under control. Ramos was cited on suspicion of operating a vehicle with no insurance.

Highway 69 was closed about one hour.

Monroe police, Monroe fire and Green County EMS assisted at the scene.
