TOWN OF EXETER, Wis. -

A Green County man is facing possession of child pornography charges after two-month investigation, officials said.

The Green County Sheriff's Office said 48-year-old Michael John Owen, of Exeter, was arrested Wednesday after police searched his home on Dohm Drive and seized computer equipment.

Detectives and state Department of Criminal Investigation agents searched the Dohm Drive and found a laptop, related computer equipment and storage media containing child pornography, according to a report.

Owen was arrested at work and taken to the Green County Jail on a felony charge of possession of child pornography, the sheriff's office said.

Green County Sheriff’s Office, as part of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, had been investigating the case for two months, the report said.

Owen remains in custody pending his appearance in Green County Circuit Court.
