The Madison man accused of gunning down his two stepsons last summer will get a new lawyer.

Roger O'Neal was in court Wednesday, asking for new representation.

His request was granted after his current attorney removed himself from the case.

O'Neal told the court he would like an African-American attorney to represent him in his murder trial.
