MADISON, Wis. -- The Dane County Board passed its 2004 budget last night, holding the line on property taxes and preserving the Dane County Fair.
The board had proposed to cut $77,000, but agreed to restore $30,000 dollars to the fair fund.
The Alliant Energy Center added an additional $18,000.
Fair organizers say they will still need to cut costs and find ways to raise money, but said the fair will go on for many years to come.
