Dane County prosecutors have reached an apparent plea deal with a 17-year-old charged in the slaying of a Madison teen on the city's West Side.

Court records show Kendrick Briggs will be back in court next month to enter his plea.

He is charged with party to a crime of first-degree intentional homicide in the 2009 shooting death of James Madison Memorial High School student Karamee Collins.

Brigg's friend, Deandre Bernard, was convicted of the same charge earlier this summer.
