Suspect Sought In Madison Open Pantry Robbery

Incident Happened Early Sunday Morning On Regent St.

Madison police are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store early Sunday morning.

Just before 5 a.m. Sunday, the Open Pantry at 1401 Regent Street was robbed by a man described in his forties, about 200 pounds, and wearing a purple hooded sweatshirt and no shoes.

Authorities said he showed a small handgun before grabbing cash from the register and fleeing on foot.

No one was injured in the incident.
