Police said computer had been stolen from a home in the 3500 block of Prairie Avenue on Madison's East Side sometime earlier on Monday.

Police said a 25-year-old woman said the thief gained entry through a backdoor and her laptop was stolen.

The computer was returned to the victim following the suspect's arrest, police said.
