WISC Editorial Agenda 2010 - Time For Kids/ Madison Children's Museum

New museum is an extraordinary resource for children.

08/22/10

We weren't thinking about the imminent opening of the Madison Children's Museum when we put young people's issues on our editorial agenda for the year. But it's hard to think of a more positive example of the kinds of resources for kids we were thinking about. This is an extraordinary place of learning, experiencing and having fun. It's green and healthy and creative. And it is truly a community asset we can share with children from around the state and beyond.

Credit is due the generous donors and especially Jerry Frautschi for his gift, as well as director Ruth Shelly and her talented staff. Madison was recently honored for being a great place for kids. What a great accolade for a global city in the making. And what a treasure to have the new Children's Museum to add to it all.
