MADISON, Wis. -- A major part of the Badger State Trail is set for completion.

Newly-announced federal funds mean additional bike trail construction will start this spring and should be finished by late this summer.

The new 6-mile trail will stretch between the Southwest and Capital City Trails in Madison and Fitchburg.

The hope is that this new trail will relieve current congestion and safety issues regarding bikes and cars on Seminole Hwy.
