The Rock County Sheriff's Department said that four Janesville teens have been arrested after sheriff's deputies found more than $40,000 of stolen property.

Sheriff's officials said Adam Hollis, 17, and 18-year-olds Zachary Trezek, Gregory Lehr and Dylan Lambert are facing charges of burglary and theft.

Since November, detectives have been investigating burglaries at individual storage units at numerous storage facilities in the county.

During the investigation, detectives developed suspects in these burglaries. Authorities said the investigation culminated on March 9 when detectives were able to recover a significant amount of stolen property.

Sheriff's officials said the property was recovered during consent searches and during two search warrants at two residences in the 400 block of Center Avenue in the city of Janesville.

Property was also recovered from burglaries that occurred in the city of Janesville and Beloit Township, authorities said.

"We were surprised at the volume of the burglaries these suspects had (allegedly) committed. I think we're looking at clearing up close to, or in excess of, 20 cases," said Sgt. Craig Strouse, of the Rock County Sheriff's Department.

The Rock County Sheriff's Department said the stolen property is being returned to its rightful owners.

The teens will appear in court in April as the investigation continues.
