TOWN OF DUNN, Wis. -- A 21-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash in the Town of Dunn.

The crash occurred on Lake Kegonsa Road, near U.S. Highway 51. Dane County sheriff's deputies, McFarland police and Stoughton firefighters and EMS responded to the crash at about 5:22 a.m.

A vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign and went 100 feet before hitting a tree. Authorities said that the crash was discovered by a passerby.

The driver was pinned inside the vehicle and was later pronounced dead.

The name of the driver hasn't been released pending notification of family.

Authorities said that they believe speed and alcohol might have been factors in the crash.
