Oregon Teacher On Leave After Alleged Threat

Teacher Made Threat In Phone Conversation

Updated: 7:11 am CST February 23, 2010

A teacher in the Oregon School District is on administrative leave after allegedly making a threat involving the use of a weapon at the middle school.

The threat was allegedly made Friday during a phone conversation, officials said.

Superintendent Brian Busler sent an e-mail to parents on Monday, saying the teacher is on a leave of absence. Busler said the school district is investigating, and spent Monday talking to several teachers who felt targeted.

Busler said the district is taking precautionary measures, and that officials are confident the middle school is safe.

Busler's e-mail didn't identify the teacher.
