Cause Of Death Being Investigated

Updated: 5:23 pm CST December 31, 2009

A body believed to be that of a missing Altoona woman has been found in a rural part of Adams County in central Wisconsin.

Officer Scott Kelley, of the Altoona Police Department, said "all indications at this time" indicate the body is Theresa Lynn Still. 43.

The Eau Claire Leader-Telegram reported that Kelley said during a Thursday afternoon news conference that an autopsy was under way but a cause of death had not been determined.

"We have our case classified as a missing person case still, and Adams County is doing the death investigation. So at this time there are no suspects or anything like that," Kelley said.

Still was last seen Sunday evening at an Altoona tavern. Her car was found early Wednesday morning on Eau Claire's south side. Her clothed body was found late Wednesday afternoon.

Earlier Wednesday, firefighters searched large refuse containers in the city while family and friends searched wooded areas near Still's home.
