Man Killed In Snowmobile Crash Near Tomahawk

Officials Say Speed, Alcohol Were Contributing Factors

A 22-year-old Oxford man died in a snowmobile crash in the Town of Bradley outside of Tomahawk in northern Wisconsin.

Lincoln County authorities said the crash was reported about 4:45 a.m. on Sunday.

The victim's snowmobile left a roadway and struck a tree. He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk.

County officials said the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is investigating, and considers speed and alcohol as contributing factors.

The victim's name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
