Woman Killed In Head-On Crash In Black Earth

Authorities: Other Driver Apparently Fell Asleep

A head-on crash in Dane County kills one driver and injures another.

The collision between a pickup truck and a car happened at about 6 p.m. on Highway 14, near Miller Farm Road, in Black Earth.

Authorities said they believe the pickup truck driver fell asleep and his truck crossed the centerline and crashed into the car.

The driver of the car, a 57-year-old woman, died at the scene. She was identified as Linda C. Storberg, of Arena.

The truck driver was transported to University of Wisconsin Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said that they don't believe alcohol was a factor in the crash
